At Dortmund Port, Ruhrmann Logistik  GmbH & Co. KG operates two halls overhanging the water for the transhipment and storage of materials in powder form, protected from dampness and free from dust. The crane systems integrated into the halls enable materials to be put into and taken out of storage by inland vessel, train and lorry.

The adjoining open-air storage spaces can be reached directly by an additional gantry crane, without interim transportation. There is also a ready-mix concrete plant of Elskes Transportbeton GmbH & Co. KG located on the company premises.

Ruhrmann markets mineral construction materials and power plant by-products, as well as operating additional ports and transhipment plants in Duisburg and the west German canal area. The range of logistics services is rounded off by the company’s own shipping department.
